This position will have the option to work a hybrid schedule, with one day (Fridays) from home after three months of employment, with the remainder working in our office out of Schaumburg, IL.
We are seeking an HR Associate to assist the HR team with various HR functions, with a primary focus on activities that enhance employee retention and company culture. These primary activities include employee onboarding, company teambuilding / social activities, and various HR administration tasks. In addition, this position will help employees with a variety of routine HR issues and occasionally provide administrative support to the Finance and Administration department.
The HR Associate will play an important part in helping us grow.
Salary range: $46K to $54K commensurate with experience

The job responsibilities of this Human Resources position may include, but are not limited to:
- Team Building / Social Initiatives:
- Conceptualize, build, promote, and organize social and teambuilding activities.
- Facilitate positive employee relations.
- Onboarding New Hires:
- Assist new hires to integrate smoothly and effectively onto Bisco’s team.
- Act as liaison between new hires and internal staff to assure communication and resources are clear and understood.
- Provide structured follow ups during new hires’ first year to address questions and strengthen understanding of policies and benefits.
- Employee Assistance:
- Help employees with a variety of routine HR related issues (e.g., insurance forms / navigation of resources / claims issues, policy understanding, personal data changes, etc.).
- Newsletter:
- Create monthly newsletter.
- Audit monthly insurance invoices.
- Provide clerical support.
- Back up Receptionist.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree. Business field preferred.
- 1+ years of teambuilding / company social organization.
- 2+ years of HR administration.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Word and Excel, email, internet).
- Ability to learn HR software.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Prudent diplomacy.
- Physical abilities to set up tables and supplies for company events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
